    These are of very good quality and well made. I compared them to some of the cheaper versions and these are definitely worth the small extra amount especially if you can find an Amazon Warehouse deal as I did. They worked perfectly to hold our Kayaks for an 800 mile trip. Will update if they fail but overall they are very good quality.

    I have not hauled kayaks yet on my car but will do so this weekend. I will have to purchase straps as the straps that came with the racks will not work to secure kayaks safely as was noted by another consumer. My son installed them and did so quite easily. I am not a real strong person but can position them easily.

    I have 2 63lb electric bikes with fat tires. Looking for a sturdy easy rack to put on back of my RV. This rack easy to assemble and use. I have driven over 100 miles since purchase with no issues. My first drive I didnt properly secure the arm to the outside bike (missed the top tube entirely) and managed to drive @8 miles down the road before I stopped for gas and saw that the outside bike was leaning but fortunately secured by the tire latches. The only concession i make is that those secure arm hooks i position the bikes in different directions and have to remember which way the back bike has to go on to match the position of the arm hook. Otherwise i have to either reposition the heavy bike or the remove and replace the arm hooks. But this challenge is true with any bike rack.

    After alot of online shopping for a bike rack, I settled on this one, and am glad I did. The price point was right for my needs. Assembly and install was fairly easy. It takes a bit of time initially to get it properly adjusted for the size of the bikes to be carried, but once it is set up, its "easy on, easy off" to use. It fits solidly into the hitch, and secures the bikes. You do have to take care to thoroughly tighten every adjusting knob-- my bike fell off the first time I used it, but that was my fault for failing to tighten one knob. Strongly recommend using the provided strap for extra security. Best thing about this is the easy access to the rear hatch on my Subaru Forester. I can leave the rack on all summer, and still easily get into the back of the car.
